Simon Cowell better watch his back because The Office's David Brent could give the media mogul a run for his money if Ricky Gervais' Comic Relief sketch is anything to go by.
Having seen the last of office manager David Brent in 2003, comic Ricky Gervais has decided to bring David back all in aid of Comic Relief. However, viewers will see that David has moved on from his 9-5 job and has moved into music.
Speaking about David Brent's return, Ricky told The Sun:
"I thought it was time to revisit my most famous comedy creation to find out what he’s been up to for the last decade and most importantly what he’s up to now.
"He is passing on his wisdom to younger would-be rock stars now. Well, really he is trying to worm his way back into rock and roll."

Whilst Ricky might be bringing David back this year for Comic Relief, the charity was constantly referred to during the show's successful run. Who can forget David berating regional manager about the importance of the charity?
During an episode in series two, Ricky's character David said: "What's more important, you Neil, with your report, or some starving children? What would Lenny Henry say?
"Imagine him going out of the door on Comic Relief day and Dawn French is going 'Where you going? You haven't done the washing up. You haven't put the rubbish out'. 'Do it yourself I've gotta save some Africans.'"
We can't wait! Can you?
Comic Relief takes place on March 15.
