Anne Hathaway has issued an apology for her last-minute switch up to a pink Prada gown from her old favourite Valentino for the 2013 Academy Awards.

An old friend of Valentino, Anne seems to have caused offence by deciding to ditch the design the fashion guru created for her in favour of a satin Prada gown just hours before walking onto the red carpet.
The Les Misérables star, who went home with the Best Supporting Actress award on the night, has issued an apology for "any disappointment caused".
Maison Valentino released a statement just before the red carpet began, confirming that they were to be dressing the actress in a couture gown along with Jennifer Aniston and Sally Field.
But when Hathaway arrived at the Dolby Theatre, it was a Prada column dress that had made the cut. She told press: "I didn't know what I was wearing until two hours ago. I tried on a lot of dresses, but at the end of the day, I loved the simplicity of it."
According to Fashionista.com, the star “freaked out” when she saw Les Mis co-star Amanda Seyfried's very similar Alexander McQueen gown and enlisted celeb stylist Rachel Zoe to track her down another dress at the last minute.
