Jessica Chastain IS Dating Gian Luca Passi: 'He's In The Fashion Industry'

A source says they've 'been dating seriously for a while' but want to retain privacy

Jessica Chastain 'doesn't date actors', but she has recently hinted at a romance... with French fashion executive Gian Luca Passi, according to sources!

The Zero Dark Thirty star recently admitted to Us Weeky that the only plus one she'll be taking to Sunday's Academy Awards ceremony is her grandmother... but it's now been revealed there's a special man in her life, too.

The redheaded starlet has been seeing Gian Luca Passi, an Italian-born executive for French fashion brand Moncler, for a good while but prefers to keep her relationships private. She held off from mentioning her lover for as long as possible, but it wasn't long before she slipped up!

Chastain spoke discreetly about her man during a recent appearance on Katie Couric in the US. When Katie asked Chastain if she had a boyfriend, she replied coyly:

"I do. I have a rule that I don't date actors so he's not in the business at all. He's in the fashion industry."

The Italian Count was recently spotted admiring the actress from afar as she performed on stage in her play The Heiress, cementing rumours that he is the boyfriend she's hinting at.

"They've been dating seriously for a while now and Gian really likes her," a source told Us Weekly.

"He is a classy guy and completely agrees about respecting their relationship and not flaunting it."

At last weekend's Writers' Guild Awards in L.A., Chastain (up against Jennifer Lawrence, Emmanuelle Riva, Naomi Watts and Quvenzhane Wallis in the Best Actress category at this Sunday's Oscars) couldn't stop talking about her man at a backstage gifting suite.

Chastain gushed over a bottle of Purity Vodka: "My boyfriend loves Vodka. The bottle is pretty."

If you seen Gian in a bar any time soon, sneak a peek at what he's drinking!
