There might be quite a few of us who haven't really felt her absence but if you're a Dido fan then you're in for a treat - and a long overdue one - after the singer today previewed her first album for five years.
The 41-year-old today proudly revealed her new offering which is called Girl Who Got Away and is the follow-up to her 2008 album Safe Trip Home.
And in a recent interview with Digital Spy, she said she was really happy with the final product.
She said: "I felt really free on this record to make the music I want to make. There's a mixture of all the music I love from dance music, ambient, hip-hop, folk, pop - everything."
So where has Dido been since Safe Trip Home? That peaked at number two in the UK album charts and sold over one million sopies worldwide.
But she has not had a hit single in her native Britain since 'Life For Rent' which was released ten years ago! This was the woman who became an international star thanks in part to Eminem, who sampled her track 'Thank You' on his 2000 hit 'Stan' and featured her in the video.
In a recent interview with Canada.com, she said: "There was a bit of a flurry of attention round the whole Eminem time. But I do really get left alone."
Left alone to be mum to her 19-month-old son Stanley and write and record 'Girl Who Got Away' - and Oscar-nominated songs!
She penned 'If I Rise', which featured in Danny Boyle's movie 127 Hours and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song but she lost to Randy Newman and his song for Toy Story 3.
Welcome back, Dido, maybe we'll see you at the Brit Awards next year!
