Ed Sheeran has revealed he was shocked when the likes of Katy Perry and Selena Gomez admitted they were impressed by his parent's partying antics at a Grammys after-party earlier this month, but the singer almost missed out on the action after he was denied entry to his has own bash.
The 'Lego House' singer had performed a duet of his debut single 'The A Team' with Elton John at the Grammys earlier in the night and was expected to host a star-studded bash after the awards, but Ed reveals he was stunned when the bouncers refused him entry.

“The weirdest thing for me was that I couldn't get into my own after party. The bouncers said no to me. Which I thought was fair enough, so I stood around for a bit and was eventually let in,” Ed told the Daily Star.
When Ed was finally allowed in to the venue, he was surprised to see his parents, Imogen and Joe, mingling with the stars and knocking back plenty of alcohol to celebrate their son's Grammy debut.
“Every single person from Katy Perry to John Mayer to Selena Gomez kept coming up to me saying how cool my mum and dad are and how they've been buying everyone tequila all night!” Ed revealed.
“I don't know where my parents are getting this wild streak from. They did go to bed at 2am though.”
Ed might want to take some tips from his parents as a friend of the star's revealed that he isn't a huge fan of performing and tends to chill out with a boardgame.
“After a show Ed just likes to hang out, relaxing with a game of Monopoly. He's not into boozing. He drinks fruit and barley,” the source told the newspaper.
