One Direction have revealed their “delight” at their Kids' Choice Awards nominations despite the boy band being forced to battle it out with Harry Styles' ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift in the same category.
The 'Live While We're Young' heart throbs have received a nod for Favourite Song of the Year for their debut single 'What Makes You Beautiful' while Taylor is also nominated in the same category, quite awkwardly, for her break-up song, 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.' The two acts will be competing with the likes of Psy's viral hit 'Gangnam Style' and Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Call Me Maybe'.

Country songstress Taylor is up for another two awards including Favourite Voice from an Animation for Lorax and also Favourite Female Singer, while the 1D lads are fighting off competition from the likes of Bon Jovi, Maroon 5 and Big Time Rush for Favourite Musical Group. Despite competing with his ex, Harry says the group couldn't be more pleased with the nomination.
“We are delighted with our nominations for the Kids' Choice Awards... Thank you as always to our incredible fans and supporters!”
Relations between Harry and Taylor, formerly known as Haylor, appear to be frosty after the songstress appeared to use her Grammy performance to make a dig at her ex beau, claiming he was still trying to contact her.
Meanwhile, Harry reportedly isn't bothered by Taylor's jibe as he says it's “embarrassing” for her to air their dirty laundry in public.
