Carey Mulligan Supports Husband Marcus Mumford As He Picks Up Grammy Award With Bandmates

The band picked up the 'Award of the Year' award for 'Babel'

Hollywood star Carey Mulligan may be used to being the centre of attention but she took a back seat last night (Feb 10) as she supported hubby Marcis Mumford as he picked up a Grammy award for 'Award of the Year' alongside his Mumford & Sons bandmates.

The blonde wore a black jumpsuit to last night's ceremony and looked stunning as always and was quick to jump up and give her other half a huge hug as he picked up the award.

Marcus and his Mumford & Sons bandmates have insisted that they worked hard for their award that they picked up for 'Babel', after being nominated for a whopping six awards.

Speaking on their success, lead singer Marcus told BBC News: “We toured there quite a lot. We've gone and worked hard and done as many gigs there as we possibly could have whilst touring elsewhere and recording an album.”

“I mean we've been busy. Live shows really connect with people in a way that you obviously can't with records."

“People have been really sweet to us. We've been really lucky. We've met some really great people, people who have supported us from the very start - in the indie world and in the rock n roll world and in the country world. We've had a nice introduction there. It feels like kindred spirits.”

He continued: “We've always talked about our album, and now we have two, being adverts for our live show. It's also felt like our live shows have been adverts for our albums as well so it's kind of gone both ways.”

Good job, guys!
