This weekend sees the stars hit London for the 2013 BAFTA awards but it's not all about the race for the Best Film gong as all eyes will be on the red carpet runway to see who wins the best (and worst) dressed awards. Whilst we count down the hours until tomorrow night's ceremony, we decided to round up our top six favourite ever BAFTA fashion moments.
Carey Mulligan 2010
She beat Hollywood icon Meryl Streep to that year's Best Actress prize (for 'An Education') AND trounced the competition on the red carpet with this stand-out gown. Carey's quirky style was evident in this striking floral print Vionnet dress, accessorised with her trademark cropped hair do.
Michelle Williams 2012
It's one of the biggest events of the showbiz calender but that didn't stop Michelle Williams from ditching designer dresses in favour of a highstreet favouite for last year's ceremony. The actress donned this bespoke H&M number for the red carpet. Mich did go designer for her accessories though, choosing an Arthur Miller £660 Olympia Le Tan canvas book clutch bag to hold her lippie. Tres chic.
Kristen Stewart 2010
Pre Rupert Sanders scandal, Kristen was the slightly sullen Twilight actress who'd managed to bag Rob Pattinson as a boyfriend. She may not have bought R Patz as her date to the 2010 BAFTAS but her cute ruffled Chanel gown was the only accessory Kristen needed. Short and sassy it stood out from the crowd amongst the more traditional full length gowns and look she even wore heels!
Angelina Jolie 2009
Angelina Jolie loves to stick to her signature black on the red carpet but back in 2009 we loved her fashion-forward take on the LBD. This Armani Prive gown, with its neon yellow lining was the stand-out favourite on best dressed lists. And what better accessory than gorgeous husband Brad Pitt, looking dapper in his tux.
Scarlett Johansson 2004
Is that Marilyn Monroe? Nope it's Scarlett who looked every inch the Hollywood siren in this classic Prada gown back in 2004. Showcasing those famous curves, the actress completed her old school glamour look with retro hair, bubblegum pink lips and £2 million worth of bling- that's how to work a red carpet!
Kate Middleton 2011
OK so the Duchess of Cambridge wasn't technically walking the BAFTA red carpet in this stunning gown BUT she was at a party honouring BAFTA in LA back in July 2011, so we think this counts! Especially when the gown is as stunning as this lavender coloured number by Alexander McQueen teamed with a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes.
