A 12-year-old boy has been reportedly charged for allegedly ‘swatting’ Ashton Kutcher’s house, by reporting a fake gun battle at the actor’s home, according to reports.
TMZ have reported that the youngster has been charged with several crimes in connection to the incident that occurred last year in October.
Police were called to the ‘Two And A Half Men’ actor’s house in LA after the boy allegedly called the emergency services claiming that people at the home were armed with guns and explosives.
The caller also claimed that a number of people had been shot. Upon arrival the police found out that they had been pranked, and that there hadn’t been a gun fight at the luxury residence.
It’s thought that the officials believe that the boy is behind a similar ‘swatting’ prank that happened at an LA bank later that month.
According to the report, the boys has been charged with two felony counts of making false bomb threats as well as two felony counts of computer intrusion.
The child is set to be arraigned in Juvenile Court later today.
Other celebrities who have been the victim of ‘swatting’ includes Justin Bieber, Chris Brown and even Kris Jenner – although, there is nothing to suggest that the 12-year-old boy was behind these incidents.
