Justin Bieber's mother, Pattie Mallette has confirmed that the teenage popstar is currently working on his relationship with Selena Gomez after a reported split in December last year and while she wouldn't confirm their status, said she'd “support whatever [Justin]'s wanting.”
Pattie Mallette made the comments during an appearance on Today in the US. The couple were rumoured to have ended their two-year romance on December 30, after flying to Mexico to celebrate New Year.
But after a blow-out fight the pair left the country separately, with insiders claiming the romance was over for good. But the pair reunited over a month later this weekend and sat front row at girl band, LA Young's show in Los Angeles on Sunday night, sparking speculation of a reunion.
But what's actually happening?
Referring to the on-off romance Pattie said: "You know, I just try and support whatever he's wanting. I think [Selena is] a sweetheart, and whatever they decide is great."

Hinting that Biebs hasn't exactly been on his best behaviour recently, he was photographed allegedly smoking a blunt earlier this month amongst other claims of bad behaviour, she went on: "[It's] tough letting go and letting our kids make the mistakes they need to make."
But she did add that she hopes Justin would "learn from my mistakes".
Pattie's recent autobiography 'Nowhere But Up', detailed how, following years of physical abuse by a family friend, she fell into drug addiction at the age of 14 and later attempted suicide at 17.
“It was a culmination built up over the years of the abuse and the pain,” she said of her suicide attempt during an interview on Today in September.
“At the time I was messed up with drugs and alcohol and in a depression.”
