In what might not be so funny when taking into account her breakdown a few years ago, Foo Fighters rocker Dave Grohl has joked that Britney Spears is “dead inside” when discussing her rumoured Las Vegas residency on Chelsea Lately.
The rocker is filling in for Chelsea Handler in a series of guest episodes this week and most likely made the absent comedian proud in Tuesday's show, when he made an off-colour joke about Britney and the Las Vegas deal she is reportedly close to signing.
In a segment in which Chelsea usually discusses the biggest celebrity news stories with a panel of commentators, one of the debators said: “I feel bad for Britney, she probably didn't even realise she wanted to do this.”
Dave jokingly chimed in: “She just kinda seems dead inside, like there's nothing behind her eyes. Like there's nothing in her boobs anymore!”
The topic in question is of course, the lucrative multi-million dollar year-long Vegas residency Britney is said to be on the verge of signing.

According to reports in Extra, Brit's manager Larry Rudolph has revealed that Britney has officially signed up for the residency,although she is still currently deciding between two casinos, one of which is part of Caesars Entertainment Group.
An official announcement is expected to be made by the singer in the next few weeks, once she has chosen between the two casinos and sealed the deal.
