Rylan Clark To Replace Olly Murs On This Year's Xtra Factor? 'It's The Dream Job'

The reality star has said that every series needs a bit of 'Rylan style'

Olly Murs has hinted that he may not be returning to this year's Xtra Factor and it looks like there may already be somebody lined up to fill his spot - Celebrity Big Brother 2013 winner Rylan Clark!

The former X Factor contestant, who came fifth on last year's series, has said that taking over Olly's hosting position on the show would be his 'dream job.'

Rylan told the Daily Star: "Every series needs a bit of Rylan style. It's the dream job, especially coming from the show. Not sounding big-headed but if you talk about X Factor from last year there's three whose names you will bring up and I'd like to think I would be one of them."

The news comes after Olly recently hinted to Heat magazine that he may not be returning to the popular spin-off show: "I've had two great years on it. To be honest, the way my career is going in terms of music and internationally it looks unlikely that I'll be able to do it. It's an amazing part of my career and working with Caroline has been great."

A spokesperson for Olly has been approached for comment.

As Olly appears to be keen to leave his TV presenting job behind, his Xtra Factor partner in crime, Caroline revealed to The Sun that she was heading over to the US to present the BAFTAs with Dermot O Leary for the E! Network.

She told the publication: "I can’t hide my excitement about hosting the Bafta coverage for E! with Dermot."

“It’s the first show I have presented which will screen in the USA, as well as Australia and across Europe. It’s all a bit nerve-racking but to be asked to front a show that is so popular in America is amazing."

“I love working in the UK and would never want to be away for too long. I have the dream job! But to work in the US as well as the UK would be great.”
