He may be having an amazing time in his career, but it seems all is not well at home for Russell Crowe, as his wife Danielle Spencer is apparently really not happy with how he's been looking, a new report claims.
The 48-year-old 'Les Miserables' actor has always been dedicated to his acting roles and has frequently changed his look to match a role.
Crowe went through gruelling fitness regimes for his roles in 'Gladiator' and 'Cinderella Man', he also went on a junk food diet and gained a whopping 63lbs for his role in 'Body of Lies'.
Unlike many of his 'Les Mis' co-stars Russell was not required to slim down for his part as Javert in the box-office smash and seems to be working on his bod for other reasons.
The couple have been dogged by split rumours for years, with Russell taking back to back movie roles and Danielle remaining in Australia.
Russell has strenuously denied any reports of problems at home but he does seem to be taking his healthy regime very seriously.

"Danielle was disgusted with how he let himself go," a source reportedly told Star magazine.
"She needled him for months about how old, grizzled, and doughy he'd gotten."
The 'Gladiator' star has been using Twitter to tell people all about his intense fitness regime, as he tries to get back to that Oscar wining look.
Earlier today (January 20) he posted: "7 km bike ride shoulder routine, 3 sets x 10 reps bench/lat/single arm jammer, 400 sit ups 14km bike ride...suns out again yahoo" (sic).
He was even back in training on boxing day, and has apparently lost 15 of his 20lb weight loss goal.
The insider for Star told the magazine, "he's treating getting in shape for Danielle like it's a full-time job."
