Ireland took its turn to host the premiere for 'Lincoln' last night as a host of celebrity faces flocked to Dublin to attend the European screening.
Leading man Daniel Day-Lewis dutifully took to the red carpet spending quality time with his fans signing autographs and happily posing for their photos.

The actor made a dashing appearance at the celebrity event, opting to attended in a stylish bow tie and black suit.
The historic flick has already caused a massive Oscar buzz, with many already pitting the Hollywood star to land an award for Best Actor.

Also joining Daniel at the premiere was the movie's director Steven Spielberg and his wife, Kate Capshaw. While U2 bandmates Bono and The Edge (David Howell Evans) and their wives also attended the showbiz event.
Speaking on his preparations for the movie, Daniel Day-Lewis revealed that he requested a year to prepare for his role as Abraham Lincoln.

''I asked for a year [to prepare for 'Lincoln']. I could still be reading now and for 15 years and not make a dent in the literature about that man," he told Time Out magazine.
''The voice is such a deep personal reflection of character that I wouldn't even attempt to find it for a considerable period of time. If I'm lucky, I begin to hear a voice."
