The inauguration of the President of the United States, Barack Obama will take place in Washington D.C. today and as the 44th President makes his address to the US we're sure there will be more than one of two celebrities in the audience.
In 2009, the likes of Denzel Washington, Mariah Carey, Tom Hanks and George Clooney had prime position at the first inauguration with Beyonce serenading Barack and his wife Michelle as they danced to her rendition of 'At Last' by Etta James at the inauguration ball and this time is expected to be another star-studded event.
The festivities were kicked off over the weekend with a string of events, which saw Katy Perry take to the stage at the Kids' Inaugural Ball, where she was joined by the first Lady Michelle and daughters Malia and Sasha and Eva Longoria hosted the Latino Inaugural Ball at the Kennedy Centre last night alongside Mario Lopez and Wilmer Valdarama.

But they're not the only ones popping up in D.C!
Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce, and James Taylor will be amongst the performers who will provide the musical soundtrack of the day. Beyonce, will be performing the national anthem, with American Idol star Kelly singing 'My Country, 'Tis of Thee' at the official ceremony.
Celebrities slated to attend the service on Capitol Hill include Oprah Winfrey, Kerry Washington and Bruce Springsteen, who are big Obama supporters. Sophia Bush, Jessica Alba and Scarlett Johansson are also expected to brave the cold and join the 800,000 expected spectators for the event.

In 2009, nearly two million people witnessed the swearing in of the 44th President, though less than half are predicted to attend to see Obama sworn in for his second term.
Later at the Inauguration Ball everyone from Usher to the case of Glee and The Fast East Movement will be taking to the stage. Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Hudson and Jennifer Lopez's ex husband Marc Anthony are also expected to attend.
While it's her husband's big day, all eyes will be on the First Lady Michelle Obama to see which designer she favours for the Inauguration celebrations. In 2009 a white, one shoulder Jason Wu dress wowed fashion watchers and even before the ceremony Michelle has hit the headlines with her new fringe, or “bangs” of which her husband approves.

He reportedly said at a benefit for supporters of his campaign in Washington D.C. Last night: “First of all, I love Michelle Obama. And to address the most significant event of this weekend, I love her bangs.
“She looks good. She always looks good,” he said.
Well let's hope it all goes well today in Washington. D.C. we can't wait to see the celebs turning out for the President!
