They've taken the US by storm so no wonder One Direction want to invest in some permanent roots across the Atlantic. Niall Horan is reportedly the latest member to splash out on a US home, and it's right next door to the Kardashians!
The singer has reportedly shelled out a whopping £1.5 million on a luxury house in LA, in the same gated complex as Kim Kardashian's parents Kris and Bruce Jenner, according to The Sun. Other celeb neighbours in the exclusive neighbourhood include Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne and Jennifer Lopez.
Apparently Niall was drawn to the house because it's so close to Kris and Bruce's daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner who he's good mates with:
“The guarded community where Niall lives when he’s in LA is a good investment – and it’s packed with celebrity neighbours," a source tells the paper.
“Niall wanted a permanent place in the States because One Direction will be spending a lot more time there this year and he didn’t want to stay in a string of hotels. He’s made friends already with his Kardashian neighbours and the younger Kardashian sisters love him and his Irish accent."
Kendall and Kylie are said to be keen to sign their new neighbour up to their hit reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians:
"They’re already talking about getting him on the family’s reality shows and they think he’s sure to say yes because he would find it funny.”
Niall’s new home in Calabasas, reportedly has a swimming pool and games room. But it doesn't have all the celebrity mod cons as apparently builders refused to fit a bar for him because at 19 he’s under the age limit for drinking in the States.
Niall isn't the only member of 1D to splash out on a US house with Harry Styles apparently being advised by his dad to invest in property. According to the Daily Star, his father has pointed out a mansion in Hollywood worth $3 million.
Sources tell the tabloid that he's eyeing up a property in the glitzy Los Feliz district, complete with its own pool and gym. An insider claims: "Harry is very sensible and he wants to build on his already high profile in the US."
"[His father] Des is a highly successful businessman who owns three properties and his own pub so he has advised him to invest all his wealth in a big property portfolio."
