Robert Pattinson Dumps Kristen Stewart? Pair 'Split After Constant Pressure From Family And Friends'

Rob wants to 'cool things off for a while' after a 'tense festive period'

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart may have just gotten back together, but sources now say that the pair have split up for a second time, with Rob apparently 'wanting to cool things off' for a while.

The 'Twilight' couple's four year relationship first hit a tough patch when the news emerged that Kristen had been having an affair with married 'Snow White' director Rupert Sanders back in July.

The pair then rekindled their relationship just in time for the 'Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2' promotions and premieres, but R-Pattz has apparently called things off after spending a rather difficult festive period together, The Sun reports.

And although Kristen is apparently 'upset', sources say she understands.

A source told the paper: “She flew to LA and was supposed to be Rob’s date for the Golden Globes, but he told her he wants to cool it off."

“He loves her but would rather go back to being good friends so they can rebuild their trust and focus on work after Twilight."

“Kristen’s upset but understands. She shouldn’t have pushed him to reconcile after her infidelity. She’s hoping he’ll come round and time will be a great healer.”

Rob's family have previously given him a pretty tough time about dating the 'On The Road' actress and it seems like the star has now started listening to them.

The source added: “He was getting so much pressure to ditch her. His friends told him to focus on his career and said she was wrecking his chances.”

R-Patz is planning to stay in his LA home while Kristen is moving to New York to make a fresh start, according to the insider.

An insider said: “She feels people leave her alone there and she has a bit more peace.”

It was recently reported that Rob was all set to leave K- Stew behind to head to Australia to film an upcoming movie 'Rover', which may have also been one of the final straws in terms of the alleged split.

Rob admitted the role was “fun” and “cool”. “It’s set 20 years in the future, in Australia,” he said.

“Basically, I’m an American whose brothers are in a criminal gang in Australia. Guy Pearce‘s character kidnaps me to try and find my brother. Other than that, it’s really complicated. But it’s cool. It’s really fun.”

He's set to leave in a few days, he told German TV station proSieben.
