While her 'Hunger Games' co-star Jennifer Lawrence is busy hitting up the awards party scene, Elizabeth Banks has admitted she's beginning to feel the full effects of motherhood now she has two young children to look after.
Elizabeth Banks - who stars as colourful Effie Trinket in the 'Hunger Games' films -- welcomed her second son Magnus Mitchell in November. And it seems as if the "double trouble" effect (she's also mom to son Felix!) is starting to take effect.
In an interview with People she explained that she's hit official mom status - and it's serious:
“Two is very different from one. When you have one kid, you feel like you can jet set around and you can throw him on the hip and you get your life done."
"You don’t realize how easy one is until you have two. Now I’m really a mom. Oh, I am a mom now! This is for serious — I am responsible for two people now.”
And it seems as if it took a Christmas at home with her hubby and two young sons - minus the hired help - to make this fact hit home for the 'Hunger Games' actress:
“[We] had no help, no nannies, no babysitters. It was crazy. You forget how difficult it is to wake up in the middle of the night, how exhausting it is."
"I lost all my nails. I did dishes and cleaned bottles for 10 days so I lost all those nails!”
It sounds like she's being run ragged - but there's no denying that Elizabeth Banks absolutely dotes on her children.
We can't wait to see her reprise her role as Effie Trinket alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson in 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' when it hits cinemas later this year.
