After 'Coming Out', Jodie Foster To 'Tell Sons Who Their Father Is When They're 21'

Mother of rumoured dad opens up about Foster's plans

Jodie Foster, who moved viewers of the Golden Globes with her fiery speech which eschewed her usual private nature to openly discuss her sexuality for the first time, will reveal to her two sons the identity of their real father when they turn 21, according to reports.

Foster's two sons Charles, 14, and Kit 12, watched as she delivered the speech which also included a tribute to former girlfriend and her boys' co-parent Cydney Bernard.

The boys' biological father is rumoured to be the late Hollywood producer Randy Stone, and his mother Reverend Beverly Bates has claimed that Foster will open up to her boys when they reach adulthood.

Bates reportedly told MailOnline: "Randy told me that Jodie said she'll tell the boys who their father is when they're 21."

The secrecy around their parentage even allegedly led to Stone promising not to tell his mother whether she had two grandchildren.

Bates told the website: "He said he could never tell me because Jodie was his best friend. He said 'mom, I can't discuss this with you'. He told me he had had to sign documents, it was a secret he took to his grave, that was how much he loved Jodie. He said 'I can't break my promise to Jodie' - and he kept his promise to her."

Foster's speech at the Globes also attacked actors and actresses' lack of a private life, echoing her fierce protection of her own.
