Nas was forced to cancel a TV appearance earlier this week after he was rushed to hospital suffering from a suspected bout of vertigo.
The 39-year old rapper flew into New York City for a guest appearance on Live! With Kelly and Michael last Friday (Jan 11), but was forced to take an unscheduled detour to the nearest hospital after coming down with a bout of air sickness during the flight.
Hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strachan later announced on air that Nas – real name Nasir bin Olu Dara Jones – would not be performing on the morning talk show.
Speaking on Twitter shortly after his discharge from hospital, Nas reassured worried fans that he was recovering and planned to make an appearance on the show at a later date.
“Peace y’all. I’m out of the ER & doin alright. I’m on bed rest for a few. Apologies to everyone @ Live w/Kelly & Michael. I’ll make it up,” he tweeted.
Nas was recently given four Grammy award nominations for eleventh studio album Life is Good.
He also features alongside Taylor Swift and Snoop Lion in a recent promotional spot for the upcoming 55th Annual Grammy Awards.
The show will take place in Los Angeles on February 10th.
