Megan Fox has quit the Twitter world just a week after giving in to temptation and joining the social networking site.
Although the stunning 'This Is 40' star has admitted that she 'hates' the social networking aspect of things, Fox still took to Facebook to make the official announcement.
The management said, "Some of you may, or may not have noticed by now that my Twitter account has been shut down.
"I thought that 2013 might be the year I finally blossomed into a social networking butterfly…but as it turns out I still hate it. Love you guys but I will just never be that girl. Facebook is as much as I can handle. I'm sorry."
The actress sent her very first tweet just a week ago, not long after 'RIP Megan Fox' trended, based on a hoax from prank site Global Associated News.
The brunette tweeted: "I'm incredibly late to the party but I'm here nonetheless, so what now?"

Last week, she announced the account on her official Facebook page, writing, “Against my better judgment, I have finally joined Twitter.”
She continued, “Every possible version of my name is already in use so for now my Twitter handle is @MeganFox516.”
However, things soon changed from her positive attitude and towards the end of this week Megan tweeted: "5 days on Twitter and I have yet to discern it's purpose. #WhatIsThePoint ???"
