Bruce Jenner spoke out about his decision to become a woman in a courageous interview with Diane Sawyer on Friday night, causing reaction around the world. While there have been some detractors, the support Bruce has received huge amounts of support and respect for deciding to go public with his gender transitioning and reveal the long struggle he’s gone through before coming to this decision age 65.
Millions tuned in to watch Bruce finally confirm that he is set to become a woman: “For all intents and purposes, I’m a woman,”
“People look at me differently. They see you as this macho male, but my heart and my soul and everything that I do in life — it is part of me,” he said. “That female side is part of me. That’s who I am.”
Jenner has kept his struggle a secret, but has been spotted wearing nail varnish on and off for the last few months and in support of Bruce people in Australia are getting their nails painted and posting the images to Twitter under #PaintYourNailsForBruce, which was started by KIIS1065 FM radio station.
