Little Mix

Little Mix are a four-piece girlband formed on The X Factor in 2011 after auditioning as solo singers. Perrie Edwards and Jesy Nelson were initially put in the band Faux Pas, while Jade Thirlwall and Leigh Anne Pinnock were in Orion. They were soon united to form Rhythmix; later changing their name to Little Mix after complaints from a charity with the same name. The group triumphed in the grand finale on December 11, 2011 under the mentorship of Tulisa Contostavlos; shooting to No1 with their debut single 'Cannonball' and knuckling down on their debut album. First proper single 'Wings' was also a No1 smash, while follow-up 'DNA' and the album of the same name both hit the Top 5. After big US success, the girls launched second album Salute in November 2012; frontloaded with hit single 'Move'. The title track became another Top 10 success following a performance on Britain's Got Talent, and the ladies also released 'Word Up!' as 2014's Sport Relief single. They are currently recording their third studio album after scrapping their US tour in favour of studio time.
