In a refreshing change in these airbrush-happy times, Brad Pitt appears on the cover of W magazine looking his real age.

The heartthrob is shown wrinkles and all in an untouched close-up image of his face.

Brad has refrained from getting his deep frown lines digitally-smoothed in the unforgiving black and white snap.

The dad-of-six seems to have stayed away from any youthful boosting surgeries such as botox injections or face-lifts and is ageing gracefully.

Brad, 45, tells the publication that his relationship with Angelina Jolie did not start out as a "dastardly affair", and refers to ex-wife Jennifer Aniston as a "sweetheart."
