Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson has shown he has class as well as good looks by defending the late Heath Ledger.

The actor - who has risen to stardom off the success of vampire movieTwilight - was reportedly at the No On H8 comedy show at the Improv in Hollywood with some friends when the material took a poor taste turn.

The comedian on stage is said to have simulated Heath convulsing on the floor - a reference to the actor's alleged overdose in January this year.

According to U.S reports, Robert and his pals immediately began booing and yelling at the distasteful routine.

Onlookers say the boys shouted, "F**k you! You suck! Leave Heath Ledger alone!"

If there is any truth to that then I love Robert even more. Heath's death was a tragedy and anyone who mocks it is a douche.

Bravo to Robert! Class is a hard thing to find nowadays and if it exists no one really shows it. It makes my day a thousand times better knowing that at least one actor in the film world will do whats right. So Bravo.

Nobody wants Rob to follow in Heath's footsteps. Heath was a very troubled man and while his death was tragic it is very much like River Phoenix, a wasted talent.

Heath ledger was and is a Great Actor. Robert and his friend for what they said the A**H*** trying to be a comedian and falling that it greatly deserved all of what was said and more. If a comedian feel the need to talk about a actor that has passed on in a bad way they need to find a new career. The dead should be of limits all together anyway! So Robetrt Does have it all Good Looks, Extremely Modest, & Full of Class. Someone should thank his Parents.

It's nice to see that the living are still prepared to stand up for the dead, even with all eyes and cameras watching. Heath's death was tragic enough without idiots making a mockery of it. Well done to Robert and his friends for standing up for what they believe in.

Rob is amazing for doing that. Heath was an amazing actor and his death was horrible! So way to go Rob for being the good guy!!! Anyone who thinks anything bad about heath is stupid. he left behind his little daughter and his wife, so it was a horrible event. Rob is absolutley amazing for doing that!
