Zac Efron On Board For High School Musical 4!

Plus he'll also be sailing the high seas with a certain Jack Sparrow...

Zac Efron has reportedly signed a megbucks deal with Disney to star in the fourth installment of High School Musical.

The star has expressed his eagerness to shake off his squeaky-clean image, revealing in a recent interview that he is on the hunt for more adult roles after High School Musical 3: Senior Year.

But it seems that Zac has been tempted back to East High by a big money offer.

The actor is also set to star alongside Johnny Depp in the next Pirates of the Caribbean outing.

An insider tells The Sun, “Zac was extremely interested. But Disney realised they couldn’t make the fourth Pirates movie without Johnny.

“They had to offer him a small fortune to do it.”

Johnny is said to be receiving £30 million for his participation in the forthcoming film.

  • I don't believe this article when it states that it has been "reported" that Zack Efron is going to be in a fourth installment of High School Musical. I am going to need something more concrete before I can believe that.

  • If HSM3 is to be produced without the favourite original casts being involved, I seriously don't think that it will have any phenomenon effect as what the other HSMs did. In addition, it will be a great loss if they are not around in the next HSM edition as they all have been embedded deep in our hearts and thoughts, not only to the young generation, but applies to all generations.
