Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes Struggling To Keep Up With The Jolie-Pitts?

It's a battle of the Hollywood power couples, according to US report...

Tom Cruise has reportedly developed an inferiority complex as he tries to keep up with Hollywood’s golden couple of the moment, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Despite receiving rave reviews for his comedy cameo in new hit movie Tropic Thunder, the actor's “competitive streak” is said to have resulted in what one U.S. publication is calling a “secret feud” between the two A-list power couples.

“It seems as though Tom’s always trying to compete with Brad, and that’s a difficult job,” a Cruise family tells Life & Style.

“All the negative press Tom gets over Scientology and the rumors about how his relationship with Katie was fake have left him with the sense that he’s not, you know, as beloved anymore.”

“And Brad has these causes - save the children, rebuild New Orleans, donate to charity - while Angelina’s practically St. Angelina these days. How do you compete with that?”

Tom could start with Save the Katie & move on from there?...

  • I don't care for Tom Cruise, scientology is a crock, and I suspect Katie is a bit batty as well, but if I were a child, I'd rather have Katie for a mother than Angelina Jolie any day. No contest. Both Tom and Katie seem to get along better with their inlaws (even if Katie's dad was justifiably cold to Tom at some points--he clearly has put that aside in public)--a good sign. And they're just a lot more stable--less galavanting about the planet, better family planning.

  • I do not think that Tom Cruise and his wife are in competition with Brad and Angelina; however, I find Tom Cruise's statement regarding the couple offensive. One reason Brad and Angelina are so popular is that they are so involved in helping others in the world especially children. They are very much respected and give all of us common folk a lot of inspiration. They are good people and raising their children in an awesome way -- those children will CARE deeply about others.
