Carrie Underwood has reportedly branded Jessica Simpson fat in a jealous spat over Tony Romo.

The American Idol winner - who used to date the Dallas Cowboys quarterback - is said to have been less than impressed when Jess gushed about her man in a recent interview.

OK! quotes a friend of Carrie’s as saying, “She finds Jessica’s love of putting her life on display pretty desperate.

"She laughed at the People cover, because it’s the same one Jess did about John Mayer - same smile, same look, except she’s a little fatter.”

Jess had told People, “I just told him (Tony) today, ‘You’re the love of my life.’ ”

The Dukes of Hazard star also went onto to say she didn’t feel threatened by Carrie’s calls to her quarterback boyfriend.

What’s next? Hair pulling?

I really doubt Carrie said that. She's been touring non stop. She doesn't have time to mess with this bull and she's got another guy she's interested in. But, other than that, the description is correct. Same picture, but Jessica is fatter. I think it's the reporter who wanted to say that so they attribute it to Carrie through "an anomyous source". Entertainment reporters are desperate to create something to write about.

I think Carrie underwood is a really strong role- model for all girls out there. Im not trying to choose sides, i mean, jessica simpson is gorgeous, and definately not fat, but i wouldn't go as far as saying that i thought any less of carrie for saying that... it may be slightly childish, unless it wasn't meant to be taken in an insulting way, but every girl has said something like that about another girl.. that's just the way us females operate.

I really don't think Carrie said that all. This magazine is just a rag filled with lies! It is ashame the way that they have treated Governor Sarah Palin, which is all lies. I suggest until you actually see and hear Carrie saying this, then I would NOT believe anything that is in this magazine and everyone should leave them on the shelves and not buy them at all!!!!Ang SHAME ON ALL OF THE WRITERS OF OK MAGAZINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How ridiculous. Consider the source....OK! Magazine is as bad as the National Inquirer...they MAKE UP stuff. No friend of Carrie's would quote her as having said that! If you will publish just anything you read, you're no better than the other yellow journalism rags. Please stop. We're all sick of this made-up-by-the-media garbage.

What a fabrication! Carrie would never say something like that. She doesn't make negative comments about people ever. This was just fuel by the tabloids to keep up the publicity for Jessicas new CD. Carrie has only met JS one time for like two minutes at the CMA's last year. This is all ridiculous.

jessica simpson is an airhead. i do not think carrie underwood called jessica "fat". carrie underwood is too classy to say something like that. jessica should get out the acting and singing business. i guess when joe simson read this, he will be on tv describing jessica bra size

I seriously don't think Carrie called Jessica fat. It doesn't seem like something she would do and besides, this is probably something the press came up with to sell more magazines. She and Jessica may be having a cat fight, but I think Ok! is pushing them to a limit. And I'm sure the rest of Carrie's fans would agree with me!

I recently heard that Jessica Simpson said that she isn't as good as Carrie Underwood. Mind you, she IS right, but that is another reason why I don't think there is really a ''b*tch fight'' going on. These girls are NOT b*tches so stop trying to put them down.

CARRIE SAID FATTER NOT FAT! THERE IS A BIG DIFFERENCE PEOPLE! GOSH carrie is the best and there no doubt about it she has deserved every single award and has worked hard to get the to place she is at today! singing is the thing she started out with and she still is in it! she's no like somebody who is trying to do so much but can't pull anything off! and JESSICA is so desperate! she's like telling everyone who she is dating how pathetic jessica is not perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
