Is Paul McCartney Getting Married Again?

Sir Paul McCartney has sparked engagement rumours after he was spotted shopping at a top London jewellers, just weeks after finalising a divorce settlement from estranged wife Heather Mills.

The former Beatle was snapped by photographers shopping at exclusive New Bond Street store S.J. Phillips yesterday, fuelling speculation he is to propose to American heiress Nancy Shevell.

The 65-year-old recently returned from a romantic Caribbean holiday with Shevell after settling his $48.6 million (£24.3 million) divorce from his former wife last month.

The pair was spotted getting close on the beach of a private resort - splashing out on a $12,000 (£6,000)-a-night villa, enjoying hand-in-hand walks along the coast, a sailing trip and frolics in the sea.

And now, the Mull of Kintyre hitmaker seems to have taken the relationship to another level with his jewellery store jaunt.  S.J. Phillips confirmed McCartney was shopping at the store - but refused to say what the singer purchased during his visit.

  • Even though he can have any woman in the world (he IS Paul Mccartney, after all) he is so used to being married that he probibly has trouble living the single life. Nancy is a real beauty, too And classy, unlike the psycho he just got rid of.

    • Nancy Shevell is legally seperated ex Bruce. They both come from money. Don't see this getting out of hand and lower than the curb-such as the case with heather. One won't hear any stories of Nancy's earlier days that include being at the Plaza Hotel or Waldorf-Astoria in New York for $ 20,000 per night.Anyone willing to take on having this harpy hovering in the background and all the "leaks" certain to come with it has my blessing. If it suits Paul, should suit everyone else.

  • Paul will be 66 in June.Not that it matters. What's he supposed to do: date someone 5 years or even 3 years? Not in his teens or 20s' anymore. He's been seperated from lady goldigger now 2 years. Almost every woman he's been 'seen' with,he and Linda both knew whilst Linda was still alive.Think he HAS learnt a very painful lesson.If this woman still willing to take awful things that hateful,guttersnipe heather will throw at her then am wishing Paul and his new Love THE BEST!

  • Gosh, Paul has been divorced 5 minutes and you media people already have him getting married, give the man a break to enjoy his freedom that he fought two tough years to get. Just because he was in a Jewelers doesn't mean he's ready to walk down the aisle anytime soon. Being single can be very liberating for him and give him more opportunity to get back to the thing he does Best, His Music. I wish you well My Friend.

  • Paul McCartney has so much money, and at least Heather Mills is rich too following the two year long divorce proceeding settlement. He is old,rich,famous, and tited as Sir Pau by the Queen, so what he does now is his own bussiness. If I were Heather, I wouldn't want to talk to him ever again, and I'd try to do the best I c ould with my settlement from Paul. It looks as if he is going to try and marry another woman soon, so Heather needs to watch Bea. I hate it, but that's the deal as I see.

  • Marriage is the only way for Paul McCartney, because if he doesn't commit to a lady soon, he'll end up as a couch potatoe. He's so cute and cuddly for me that I'd like to propose marriage to him myself, just to prevent such a disaster. Sex is the primary reason coupes commit to each other anyway, and sex with Paul Mccartney is proof in the pudding. Smiles
